It's springtime! Daffodils are blooming and birds are nesting as nature begins to breathe new life again. The days
become warmer and we are finally able to get out of our home and take walks down our street or at the park and
enjoy that fresh spring air.
Springtime also brings Easter, the day we Christians celebrate Jesus' resurrection. Children also await for the
furry, cotton-tailed bunny who hides colorful eggs and leaves yummy candy in baskets. I remember dressing in the
prettiest, frilliest dress for church on Easter Sunday. I couldn't help but know that Easter is such an important day
to celebrate.
What is it that you remember about Easter as a child? Is it looking for Easter eggs out on the lawn or maybe
sneaking a piece of chocolate before Easter dinner? The holidays seem to bring out the child in all of us, and
who doesn't want to be a child again, at least for a day?
May you and yours have a joyous Easter, and may we never forget the true reason we celebrate the day!
He Is Risen!
