Just the other day, my Dad took my son fishing. They caught so many fish, by only using a little Snoopy fishing rod too! How special it was to see my Dad teaching my son how to fish. As we usually look to our Moms as the more sensitive type, the one we go to when we fall and scrape our knee, Dads tend to be the ones that teach us how to ride our bike or skip rocks across a pond. Hearing my son laugh as his Dad chases him around the yard or tickles him till he gets the hiccups, makes that moment come alive - the happiness I see in my sons eyes.
Each parent plays such an important role in a child's life. And even when that child becomes an adult, we continue to learn from our parents.
Of course, each Father is different. He may be the silent and stern type, or the huggable bear, or the joker. Each one is so unique and special.
Don't forget to thank your Dad for all he's done for you and remember to tell him you love him.
Thank you Dad!
