Halloween, which is celebrated on October 31st, can date it's origins back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Our celebration of the day has changed over the past 2000 years, but some of the ideas are still there in which we celebrate today.

Halloween is a time when monsters and ghouls come out to play and the dead roam the earth. What better time to sit by the fire on a crisp autumn night as the leaves fall to the ground, with a ghost story in hand.

Halloween is a fun holiday for children and adults alike. It's a time when children can play make believe, go door to door, and fill their bags with yummy candy!

I always enjoyed carving a spooky face into a pumpkin the night before Halloween, and getting my costume together.

Halloween night was always fun, walking door to door with friends in our silly costumes as the leaves crunch beneath our feet as the moon cast it's shadow between the trees. We ended the night in our cozy home, assessing the amount of goodies in our bag.

However you spend your Halloween, I hope it's fun!  (You may want to sleep with the lights on though.)
