Don't forget the entertainment that can be found right on the beach itself, like getting your feet wet while searching for sea shells, or building the biggest castle on the beach. You also don't want to miss the most phenomenal sand creations you'll ever see, located next to the boardwalk.
Whether you plan to stay one night or one week, there are plenty of hotels and motels to choose from, with prices that can fit most budgets. Many hotels along the ocean have their own private beach, which make things nice for those who want to just sit out on the beach, soak up the sun, and watch the sea gulls fly in the air and waves lap upon the sand.
To me, there is nothing more relaxing than watching the ocean waves and hearing their thunderous roar. The ocean is my place for a vacation. If you've never visited the ocean, plan your next vacation near one. You will want to come back again and again.
